Nature Morte

While I was quarantined at my family farm in 2020, I came upon this varied thrush minutes after it had hit one of the windows of our house. It was a beautifully devastating tableau. Painted on a small cupboard door purchased at the local salvage shop, this is part of a series in which I reuse reclaimed building materials as supports for my paintings.
