This is a studio painting done from numerous plein air paintings and digital images I have undertaken through many years of painting on the California coast south of Carmel Just north of the Rocky Creek Bridge on Highway One. This is in the Garrapata State Park that covers a number of miles of coastline between Carmel and Big Sur.
