I painted this painting on canvas mounted on the walls of my apartment while living on Catalina Island during the pandemic. I lived a block from this view and was always stunned by the way the eucalyptus framed the scene. I am especially attached to the casino since my great uncle was the architect for the building. I did an orange undercoat before sketching out the scene to paint.
