Autumn Meadow

Ten minutes above my house the hilly open space lures me with its beauty. The spring rains brought much grass, first green, then golden. As I looked out over the broad meadow, the sun lit up the edges of the grass against the distant, timeless expanse. I rushed my oils over the little canvas I had brought and carried the image back to the studio to settle into a finished painting.
