Anneke in Wassenaar/North Sea Blues

Walking along the beach with Anneke and some more friends I was inspired by the colors of the stunning North Sea in combination with Anneke's clothes, her blond hair and the very contrasting bright red of her backpack. The seagulls that walked along with her moved me. I saw a painting in this scene instantly and Anneke - who is a collector of my paintings - agreed and let me totally free in creating this painting. She and her family were very happy with the result.
