Beyond Words

Before this painting was completed, I had to fly to Virginia, and sat along side my Father, who was unconscious and dying. During that week I Ieft his bedside...kissing him on his forehead, and he puckered his lips to kiss me back! When I returned home, to finish this painting, I realized it was of my Father's final journey: The woman in front (as my Father's body), cannot see us, yet his soul as portrayed by the woman looking out at us from under the red umbrella could (Red to the Japanese is the soul!)
