Lake Meredith on My Mind

This painting was done in the nick of time, as I had traveled all day to get to the park which is a National Recreation Area, in time for Golden Hour. I knew I would have to work fast that night, so I think the other campers thought I was a bit of a madwoman, whipping my supplies out and setting up at a picnic spot like I did with no food at dinner time. I finished just as the light was almost gone after catching the color info in the first 20 min or so. I was so please, I did a studio Nocturne after returning, which shows the sky, which I will enter under Nocturns.
