Requiem to Claude Monet
This piece is part of the series "Requiem to Claude Monet". This is the titled piece called a Requiem to Claude Monet. After visiting his home in Giverny, France, I had to pay homage to one of the worlds most prolific painters/fine artists. To be standing in the true masterpiece of Monet (his garden and home), I could not attempt to create this most duplicated image in the world. I wanted to embody the spirit I felt while there. Coming back to California still inspired by the spiritual experience I had, there was no other choice but to 'create my own interpretation of the Lily Pond.
